just a random very intelligent drake:
For all those who dont understand Andy serkis started making a jungle book movie 6 years ago. Disney decided they wanted to make a live action version of their jungle book a little bit after and managed to get theirs finished first and released. The Disney jungle book is not an adaptation of the original rudyard Kipling novel. Walt Disney is famous for telling his writers to throw the book out when writing the film. He wanted the characters and the setting but nothing else. Andy serkis's jungle book now called "mowgli: legend of the jungle" is an adaptation of the original novel. It's going to be darker and more violent. I think Warner bros lost faith not because of the quality of the film but because people were gonna be confused and hate the film because they thought it was the sequel to the Disney one.

Read the reviews. I don't I understand. Not everything has to be happy you know. This movie was real and shows what we humans are capable of being; Cruel, bloody, and cold hearted. But also kind, strong, and without limits. I loved this movie.
Also. RIP Bhoot
Watch The Mowgli here:
Serie Stuff:
I cried my eyes out when they found Bhoot. He died after an argument and Mowgli never had time to say sorry. And the fact that he was kinda bullied pisses me out. Dang I loved that cub! And they took him away!? Thats an minus for me.. A BIG ONE
Rony Ronouk:
Plot twist: For doing the character perfectly, Christian Bale changed his shape to Bagheera.
Simo Simo:
Just watched the movie, it's fantastic and way better than The Jungle Book in my opinion, the cgi was great, good character development, more closer to the book, great performances. Felt soo sad for Bhoot ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜¢ R.I.P

I am so sick of people saying that this is another Disney remake. It is not. Let me explain it. The Disney movie was nothing like the book at all, (and I don’t mean that the animated Disney movie is bad because I love it, even though I also love the book) but then Andy Serkis decided that he wanted to make a version of the jungle book that was actually like the book, so he started making that in 2012. But then Disney got scared that someone was making a version of the jungle book, so they remade the animated movie and got it done before Andy Serkis got done with his. So then everyone thought that mowgli was a rip off of the Disney remake because the Disney remake came out first. So in short Disney made their remake so this film would not have a chance at being a hit. “What a noble thing to do Disney.”
Cameron Turk
If all of that is True that Disney remade the Animated film to Live Action purely because they heard Andy Serkis was making a Big Budget Jungle Book film of his own then that Is Incredibly Selfish of Disney and means the whole Company are just out for Money and Themselves!
Shilling 4Shills
@Cameron Turk they are. Its a business. Think about it. They do remakes not to make everyone emotional like the first time with the original film. They know people would feel the nostalgia and would use that to their advantage and make bank of of everyone who feel nostalgic. Its a business after all. Its sad but true

@2easydesigns That's the thing. Disney wasn't first. Disney had no plans for a live action Jungle Book in 2012. They're lucky Serkis already has a close working relationship with Disney through Marvel and Star Wars so he probably was cool about it.

Ur right, typical Disney they want to own everything, i heard about that as well....i liked the Disney version but didnt love it...i found the last 40 minutes a bit of a mess, plus they made it so dark, the tone and the lighting that it wasnt pleasant to watch...Luv all that Serkis has done in movies and I hope the script is great and the time he spent making this unlike Disney has benefited to the final film...pity it wont be in the Cinema though.....*On Disney, i read that by 2020 Disney will own at least if not more then 40% of films each year released in Cinema's....Them buying fox give them more control, most people think this is a great thing but not in the long run....Competition in any business is needed..........the general public dont think about the financial side of this...
Henry Smith
By the way, I love Disney. I think that they have made plenty of terrific movies.
MR K
@Henry Smith you know what funny
Right after disney announced they would make a live action for mulan
Sony announced their version of mulan and even hired a game of thrones director
But thankfully disney is like way way ahead of sony

Sad thing is, that’s how Hollywood works. One hopeful scriptwriter might have an original idea and bring it to a production company, and they might turn them down but keep the idea in mind. Another company accepts the script and begins to make it the same time the previous ones make a film like it, and then they all come out the same time.
Notice how sometimes western movies, space movies, or drug movies all come out the same year? It’s because someone pitched one and got caught up in Hollywood.

Apparently this is based on the Second Jungle Book collection of stories by Rudyard Kipling. It's Directed by Andy Serkis. I too like the Disney "live action" [*CGI animated] movie but I'm really looking forward to this one. The only thing I can see that I prefer in the 'new' Disney version to this one is Baloo looks more like an Indian Sloth Bear, as The Jungle Books were set in India.
anshul sharma
Thanks for clearing that. Also the Disney one was nice but I didn't knew it wasn't going to be an adaptation of the original. And was disappointed a bit by that. But thanks to Andy serkis we finally get what we deserved
lordSeaworth
But it is and remains a simple remake. No matter what you say is going to change that.

Disney planned in 2008 to make movies remake. Alice in wonderland, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo, Aladdin, The Lion King, Maleficent, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Mulan, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Little Mermaid, Robin Hood, Pinocchio. Tarza, Pocahontas, Bambi. And Maleficent, Beauty and the beast and The jungle book should all be ready in the cinemas at least of the end of 2013, but due to some tecnology it took some time.

@Elizabeth Molino Yup. People there's a thing called "public domain". if a copyright crosses i guess approximately hundred years, it is no longer copyright protected unless the company who owns it is still operational
Canis !
Thank you so much for commenting this, I had no idea about how Disney did that
Linds Tee
THANK YOU. I’m so sick of it too. Been going around correcting ppl in the comments section of videos on this film. The 2 films were actually finished around the same time, but Disney rushed to release theirs first so the release of this was put off to avoid confusion.
Piximae
But...this looks a HELL of a lot better.
The 80's Wolf
Disney is a threath to film making, they aim for monopoly.

If Serkis wanted to make "a version of the jungle book that was actually like the book", why did we end up with this piece of crap? I am sorry, but I don't think he ever read the Ripling's book. This is a random story with some characters we recognise, but that is all. Disney is a nice excuse, but then you mess up a script this bad, there is no hope for your project.

Cameron Turk what's so selfish? It's business.. Jeez
Oliver Emmett Knox its not.. Both movies r good. I am Indian and I liked both.
Penny
Fuck, Mickey Mouse! And fuck Disney!
ArcSpectator
“Disneyfied or Disneytried?”? Those kinds of reviewers are biased Disney fans. I mean it looks like anything adapted by Disney becomes “intrinsically connected” to Disney, but next thing you know there’s to many Disney fans in the audience.
Alexa Boxler
No wonder the Disney remake wasn't that good then!

The anthropomorphism on display in this version of
The Jungle Book lacks believability. Doesn’t work for me.
